About the Livingston Lord Library
The Livingston Lord Library is named after Livingston Lord, MSUM's first president, and it has been a valuable resource within the MSUM community since the Moorhead Normal School opened its doors in 1888.
In April 2014, the library re-opened to the public following a comprehensive two-year renovation. The transformation extended beyond infrastructure upgrades, including heating, ventilation, electrical, and plumbing, to a major cosmetic makeover, infusing the space with a vibrant, '70s-esque vibe that echoes its dynamic role on campus.
